some of this & some of that

It's been great having Micah and his family here with us. They are "moving" to Sarah's parents' home for a few days--we'll get them back Christmas Day in time for dinner. Parker is a lot of fun and well behaved. Lobo doesn't even growl at her--maybe because she's closer to his size than the other grandchildren.

My new white angelfish arrived safely this week (from Hawaii). The lone angel fish I have left from all the others (Koi) is a little larger than these and is trying to be a bully. If he keeps it up, he'll be moved.

I mailed my packages on Tuesday, even the three to Iraq that we were supposed to mail in August. All of my shopping is done.

For the first time, I experieced some pain yesterday. It may be from lifting the grandchildren or from skipping naps and not lying down during the day. At least I am sleeping during the night again!

Micah and Parker and I went into my office on Wednesday to drop off Ann's birthday gift and a few Christmas gifts. They are doing just fine without me.

I still haven't done the laundry and it's hard to keep up with all the dirty dishes. I've actually cooked a couple of meals, and we've ordered Chinese dinner and pizza and gone out a few times.

I've been getting up at 0400 and staying awake for a few hours, then going back to bed until 0800 or so. Seems to work pretty good. I think I'll go back to bed now.

Decorated my office. Handed out bags of toys and candy and gum for the local kids.
